Don’t you know? The Civil War has officially ended today!!
What is everybody celebrating for?
Missouri Compromise was passed, a blanket upon the severe issues encompassing the sectional divide of the North and South.
A war?? How did that happen?
*sigh* It all started when…
ohhh!

Let me guess, as usual there is some guy who wants to stop this
What happened next? Did the people who run the country not say anything?
Pretty much, except it's the Compromise of 1850 that strengthened the Fugitive Slave Law. It demanded the states to return escaped slaves. It was brutal!
Oh my god! You need to learn your history Fool! “Then there was the Tariff of Abominations that raised taxes for the development of the North, but was detrimental to the South, resulting in growing support for nullification.
So what’s next in line that led this great nation to war
There are soo many things going on I think I am gonna go insane
It was a court case! The Dred Scott Case of 1857 put sense into some acts of the past, clearing up the unconstitutionality of popular sovereignty and the Missouri Compromise of 1820.
You don’t need to worry about something you already are. Just saying. Well that’s what the people of Missouri did to make Kansas a slave state by cheating for votes, and we tend to not be the smartest bunch so guess what we beat each other up.

Only one of the worst things yet to come, South Carolina seceded in 1861, causing a huge disruption in the Union, this would motivate many other states to secede!!
Damn, this is messed up. Did anything else happen to make things so drastic?
Woah, that was a lot of information all of a sudden, is that all of the major points leading up to the war?
That certainly must have caused the war immediately right??
Not yet, the tensions were extremely high as Lincoln had to make a choice of upmost importance… He had to choose to send provisions to Fort Sumter in South Carolina, they took it as a threat and the war began..
What I mentioned were the most significant moments in our history leading up to it, there are other smaller events that contributed, yet they aren’t as essential in explaining the history of the Civil War.
