- The doctors ordered numerous tests: blood samples, x-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, and tissue samples were collected to see what disease Timmy had.

- Full of confusion, Timmy finally met up with one final doctor – an oncologist. That was when Timmy finally found out about the truth. He had a cancerous tumor inside his chest.
- Later that night, Timmy’s parents told him that he would have to stop school and stay at the hospital to treat the disease right away. Timmy immediately broke into tears. All he wanted at that moment was to go home.

- The next day, Timmy was given a special type of medicine called chemotherapy. His doctor told him that this magical medicine would fight the malignant cancer in his body.
- Unfortunately, chemotherapy came with its side effects. Timmy had a fever and felt fatigued. Soon later, sore infection developed in his mouth, and worst of all his hair started falling off.

- To reduce the side effects, the doctor told Timmy to drink lots of water, eat extra protein, and use mouthwash to alleviate the infections. Timmy’s dad would even set hourly timers to remind Timmy to do these things.
