- Hello everyone, I am Amar from Haryana, I consider soil to be the base for life on earth and hence to conserve soil I work with NGO's.
- And in that matter I have found the telengese agricultural technique to be very effective and practical, since I shifted to Telangana recently, so I will like to share some soil saving methods.
- One way to conserve soil is to use farming techniques that preserve soil since most of soil degradation and erosion happens to exhausted soil used in agriculture.
- In face, after Punjab, Haryana faces most Soil Exhaustion problems in India, solutions are there but people do not follow it, though people in Telangana seem to be following it.
- Both Telangana and Haryana have agriculture as a primary occupation, but agriculture came to Haryana first, so Green revolution came first there too.
- But the problem with Green Revolution's method is that agricultural soil gets exhausted due to fertilizers' excessive use, if not checked, this is a major problem in Haryana
- Here people also do a mixed cropping so that the soil doesn't lose too much of one type of resources and get degraded.
- Also, most of them instead of fertilizers just use Manure, so the crops get sufficient nutrients and the soil doesn't get exhausted either.
- This is a farm in Telangana, as you can see, the farm is in terraces like structure, this is to avoid water logging to destroy soil fertility and crops.
- As you just saw, there are many ways to conserve soil like this if farmers do it, and farmers in Telangana are sure doing it, there are many more ways to conserve soil as well and most of them are being followed by farmers in Telangana.
- Its not that all people are just not caring about soil at all, but the vast majority of Haryana's farmers still do not adapt modern methods, since their agricultural output is way more than Telangana, their effect o soil is more.
- The numerous NGO in which I am are trying to conserve soil, and of course I am helping them, my way of helping is to spread awareness, knowledge is a great tool which can help people achieve goals, by spreading important knowledge I hope to change people's style in Haryana.
- Anyone you know, who is related to agriculture, you can tell him about the importance of Soil Conservation and persuade him improve his/her farming techniques.
- Therefore dear viewer, my goal of this entire thing was to make you aware that achieving the thing we call 'conserve soil' is very much possible if the farmers at major states like Punjab and Haryana decide to do it.
