- As King Arthur was sleeping, Sir Gawain came to him in a dream. Sir Gawain gave King Arthur a warning regarding of his death. He warned King Arthur that if you fight tomorrow with Sir Mordred before Sir Launcelot arrives, then both will be slain.
- King Arthur commanded Sir Lucan the butler and his brother Sir Bedivere the Bold to go to Sir Mordred to present a treaty telling Sir Mordred that no battle will be fought for a month.
- A adder, a snake, came out of the brushes, and stung a knight on the foot. When the knight felt the stung, he looked down and saw the adder. He drew his sword to kill the snake.When the host on both parties saw the sword, they blow horns, trumpets, and beams.
- King Arthur strikes Sir Mordred under his shield. When Sir Mordred felt that he had his death wound, thrust himself with the might the he had up King Arthur's spear, and strike his father with the sword pierced the helmet and casing the brain. Sir Mordred drop dead to the ground, and so did KingArthur.
- King Arthur commanded Sir Bedivere to throw his sword, the Excalibur, into the lake, and come back and tell him what he had saw.
- After departing from King Arthur's body, Sir Bedivere went to a chapel and saw a hermit. The hermit told Sir Bedivere that a number of ladies came to the hermit to ask to bury a corpse. Sir Bedivere was pleased of what he had heard, so decides to join the hermit and live a long life of fasting and praying
