- The independent variable would be what temperature you set in the house for the ball. Right exactly.
- Experiment: What would happen if you put a soccer ball next to a heater and a ac vent?
- Oh OK, so you would be able to change the temperature, that is why it is the independent variable. Right?
- The dependent variable would be the temperature of the soccer ball before it got placed in front of the vent
- That is because you cannot control the temperature of the ball. That is why it is dependent.
- You need 3 control variables. They would be Where you drop the ball from, material of the ball, and the size of the ball.
