One day, Siddhartha decided to see his father's kingdom which would become his when his father dies. When he went to the town, he was happy to see the people enjoying their lives just like the comfort he was having in his kingdom.

The Buddha, or Siddhartha Gautama, was born around 567 B.C.E., in a kingdom just below the Himalayan foothills in Lumbini, near Nepal and India. His father was a chief of the Shakya clan. It is said that the brahmins prophesied that he would become either a universal monarch or a great sage. So that his son wouldn't even think of becoming a sage, he decided to give Siddhartha all the comfort and pleasure that only a prince could get. He was even shielded from the outer world by building a high wall surrounding the whole Palace.
Siddhartha spend his childhood in luxuries and was trained to become a powerful warrior. He married a beautiful lady named, Pali Yasodharā and had a son named Rāhula. After many years, Siddhartha decided to see his father's kingdom which would become his when his father dies. When he went to the town, he was happy to see the people enjoying their lives just like the comfort he was having in his kingdom.
But as he goes on, he starts to see the horror and sadness that covers the face of the people who are injured, starving, and how death takes over people, so quickly. He starts to feel the pain that those people are having.
