- As time passes, I think about someone special to me. A person who I could never forget and always remember . . .
- Well, that person was Juanita Johnson, my great grandmother. She was a very positive and loving woman. My great grandmother loved all of her grandchildren and she was very good at cooking. She took care of everyone as much as she could
- I remember her making breakfast for me and my sister every morning
- In 2007, me, my sister and my parents had moved to Maryland which is away from most of my family living in Ohio
- While time grew, it was hard to spend time with my family, so we always had to ask to call someone
- Can I call Granny?
- When I was in 5th grade, bad news was brought up
- Guys, Granny has cancer and she only has a few months
- My family went back to Ohio and surprised my Granny for the last time. Things became worst when it was our last time seeing her. Just from visiting her and seeing how she was felt different, things were not the same as before.
- After a few months later, my great grandmother had passed away
- Moments of sadness and confusion was on my mind, trying to look back at all the memories and great times i had with her. . .
- I go back and look at the moments I had with her, and I noticed she was never negative even when she was fighting through the pain of her illness. There was never a time where I heard my great grandmother be negative.
- I miss my great grandmother a lot and I would say I have became more positive and caring towards others like she did. Things did change ever since she has been away but no matter what happens I strive to find the positive outcome
