  • Indus houses were small, along with some having the workshops inside making it even smaller. Yet it also made it a a very short way to their work. All the houses and roads were in a grid pattern to, there being sections for different social classes. And they would build with mud bricks.
  • The Indus people would keep clean by using the central well, or the showers they had. Of course their showers weren't like everyday now. They showered by standing on a brick and pouring water over them. Then the water went outside through pipes and into a drain.
  • The Indus people would bathe as part of their religion, they did this since they believed in ritual bathing along with purity. They also worshiped to a mother goddess believing she gave fertility and health. They also believed cows were special. This most likely influenced today's Hinduism, which believe in the same goddess and see cows as sacred.
  • Seals were used by Indus people in order to label stuff. A seal is a way to print something into an item. The Indus people would use seals to label all their stuff.
  • Trade was one of the most important things to The Indus civilization. Since they had no money, they would trade and exchange goods, making them most reliable on trade. The ones they traded most with was the Mesopotamian people, which is why its a theory that trade could've been their end. Since Mesopotamia had trouble at one point with trade, that made it harder for the Indus to get what they needed. Making them leave, and possibly end.
