- ok, how can you explain thatif a person returns the lost object to a place where the owner is likely to see it(the object), The shomer is not required to take further care of it, but if it's stolen or lost he is responsible for it.What does Stolen or lost mean?Doesn't it mean it was stolen from his house?This shows that he is considered like a shomer Sachar?

- no respectfully you have understood it wrong!we are talking about when he stupidly returned it when the owner wasn't home , if he returned it at 7:00 when he knows the owner will go out the door at 7:05 that is clever and only then is he not responsible for it anymore.

- no i agree this is true for animals because since they tend to run away they need extra protectionas it says in the pasuk 'return it' i only know he can return it to the owner's house how do i know that he can return it to his garden or to his empty space. the torah says ' you shall return it' meaning anywhere what does to his garden or empty space mean ' it means guarded garden and guarded empty space. rather it means unguarded garden etc.. this shows he is a shomer chinam?
