- Isabel Flores de Oliva was born on April 20, 1586 in Lima, she was the daughter of Gaspar Flores, a natural harquebusier from Baños de Montemayor and María de Oliva y Herrera, an indigenous spinner and seamstress, originally from Huánuco.
- At her baptism they called her Isabel, but later, when her mother saw that over the years her face became pink and beautiful like a rose, she began to call her by the name Rosa. And, when the Archbishop gave him the confirmation of her, she definitely gave him that name of her.
- Many men fell madly in love it was because of the attraction of long hair or very beautiful skin, he cut his hair and decided to wear a veil on his face, so as not to be a source of temptation for anyone. He wanted to dedicate himself solely to loving Jesus Christ.

- He died on August 24, 1617 when he was 31 years old from tuberculosis. She was canonized by Pope Clement X, thus becoming the first saint of Latin American origin.
