  • Nevermore
  • Long ago on a bleak December night, there was a man wallowing in his sorrow. Sorrow for his lost Lenore. Suddenly he heard a tapping on his chamber door. He tried to reassure himself that it was only a visitor but there was tiny doubt of it being something else. His heart thumped with the thought of who might be on the other side. He apologizes to the visitor because he didn't think anyone was really there. Quickly he opens the chamber door and finds nothing but darkness staring back at him. He whispers his lover's name in the hope she has returned to him.
  • Nevermore
  • LENORE!!!!
  • The man closes his chamber door; his heart still beating, still burning. He hears a tapping louder than before. He tries to reassure himself again, thinking it was only the wind. He opens the window and quickly flies in a raven. Without a moment’s notice, the raven perches itself upon a statue of Athena on his chamber door. The man stared in wonder at the raven and asked who it was. If it had any messages for him from the Underworld. However, the raven only uttered one word, “Nevermore.” No matter what the man said the raven only had one answer. The man believed these words came from an unhappy master but still wondered if there was another meaning.
  • Nevermore
  • The man sat in his chair in front of the chamber door thinking about the raven. He starts believing the room is filling up with some type of drug to make him forget; forget his beloved Lenore. He begins to yell at the raven if the Devil has sent him and if he will ever be relieved from his grief. The raven onlyanswers, “Nevermore.”
  • The man in his anger and sadness keeps yelling at the raven. He asks if his sorrowful soul will ever see his beloved Lenore again. The raven, once more, answers “Nevermore.” At this time,
  • He stands from his position yelling once again. The raven’s one word infuriates him to no end. “Leave me alone! Let my loneliness stay unbroken and leave the bust you sit on! Take your beak from out my heart and leave your place from my door!” “Nevermore,” is the only answerthe raven gives.
  • Theraven turns as still a statue. It still sits there. Never flitting its positionfrom the pallid statue of Athena. He casts a shadow over the man; the man forevertrapped in the shadows on darkness.
