- Daedalus and Icarus were held prisoners on the island of Crete by King Minos.

- Daedalus wanted to escape, so he asked his son to collect feathers from birds, and Daedalus melted some wax. And with this he made 2 pairs of wings for both of them
- Daedalus soon taught his son how to fly and soon enough they were both ready to escape, but Daedalus couldn’t help but feel worried.
- Daedalus warned his son about what would happend if he went to high or too low and that Icarus would follow him the whole way, and Icarus agreed and listen
- After following his father for a while Icarus felt very careless and started to fly higher and higher. He started to get too close and forgot his father's warning. And then tragedy struck.
- Daedulas notcied his son wasn't following so he looked around. Then he notcied a person falling from the sky with feathers followng down with him. This person was his son, Icarus. He tried to save him but by the time he was their it was already too late. Daedulas then returned home without his son.
