- Johnsy gets sick from Mr. Pneumonia touching her, she is now in the hospital
- Im counting the leaves, when the last one falls, i must go too

- The doctor is telling Sue that Johnsy has a small chance to live, but he can't help her if she decided shes not doing well

- Sue came in the room and began to work, but she hears Johnsy counting
- Johmsy tells Sue whats shes counting and why shes counting the leaves
- Sue tells her that the doctor said she has a good chance. Sue closes the window and starts to work while Johnsy keeps her eyes closed and is waiting for foe the last leaf to fall
