The quartet consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. They were all born in Liverpool, England and started up their band in 1960. They are by far the most famous band of the contemporary era, and that is a well deserved title!

The famous group was created by a few bored teenagers who started up a band. They were all mostly self taught and while they were different from each other, they all shared the same passion for the new genre of rock and roll. They were very influenced by the music genre blues, and that style is evident in their songs. I think that place is playing some of their music... Let's check it out!

OMG! They are playing "Hey Jude"! That is my favorite song by them! It's such a classic and I don't think it's possible to get tired of it. I really hope they play "Eleanor Rigby" next. That's another great one! I think most songs by the Beatles are just so iconic and valuable to the world. Case closed... THE BEATLES ARE THE BEST!!

I think the Beatles are the best contemporary band, and their music spans far beyond just the genre of rock. They have such awesome music and their lyricism is incredible! Did you know they recorded a total of 211 songs?! Amazing!
