- It begins after 10:03 PM with a young adult named Simon. He stands alone in his apartment overlooking the city. He has worked very hard to reach this point in life. Simon is not only successful, but independently wealthy at age 24 which is an incredible feat. But he has not been able to sleep for days.
- Truly, I am not satisfied.. I have no sense of self or what else I should be doing with my life.
- I know what the issue is but I need time to figure this out. I will cancel my plans tomorrow and reflect.
- He spent most of the day thinking about what his life has amounted to so far and finally decided to fill the empty room with his voice, even if he was speaking to himself.
- I have wasted a lot of opportunities to do good in my life. But now I believe that there is no better time to give back and dedicate myself to sharpening my mind.
- I can take time out of my day to see more people, donate and help coordinate charity funds, and practice some meditation.
- Over the next few days Simon committed himself to his goals. He watched many mindfulness videos on the internet, sent funds to youth programs and health organizations, and reached out to some friends and took the time to go see them.
- At the end of the day, I finally realized that sometimes walking the right path is worth it, even if I had to do it myself. I don't have a full understanding, but feel a certain clarity in my head.
