The wife's story

- In the beginning of the story, the wife meets her husband on a hunting trip. He treats her well and they have children of their own. Many tell her that something is wrong with her husband but she doesn't believe it.
- He began to act strange, leaving late. Often her husband would come back late at night agitated. One night he came home covered in a strange smell, the wife questioned him about it and he brushed it off.
- One night, their child became afraid of her father. She lashed out, yelling for the father to leave. The wife scolded the child, but she was scared too, she was terrified of the look in her husbands eyes.
- One day, she woke to a noise, she followed it, and found her husband, he was transforming into a monster. His feet turned pale and elongated, his face flattened, this wasn't her husband anymore. She howled for her pack.
- The thing saw her, grabbed a branch and attacked her with it. She struggled and grabbed the branch in her teeth. Her motherly instincts had kicked in, she needed help.
- She saw her sister, running to her aid, they attacked the monster. Her pack was here, and the beast was killed. She knew the curse was true, she hoped her husband would come back, he never did. Her husband lie there, the lifeless body of the beast, her husband was gone.
