- The Quartering Act stated that if British soldiers came to your house, you have to give them food and a place to sleep. This was bad for the colonists because some colonists were poor and had a hard time feeding their family already.
- Stamp Act
- WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS PAPER!!!
- The Writs of Assistance allowed British soldiers to look through peoples houses to look for illegal goods without permission. The colonists protested this act because they didn't like people barging into their house.
- Declaratory Act
- I HATE ALL OF THESE ACTS!!!!
- The Sugar Act increased the rate of tax on sugar and molasses. The colonists protested, claiming that they couldn't produce enough molasses to meet their needs.
- Townshend Act
- Thanks for the money!
- The Stamp Act required colonists to pay a tax on various forms of paper and documents. The colonists protested it because they were being taxed without their consent.
- The Declaratory Act stated that the British Parliament's taxing authority was the same in America as it was in Great Britain. The colonists didn't like it becausue it was a sign that more acts were coming.
- The Townshend Act taxed goods imported to the American colonies. The colonists didn't like it because they didn't want to pay more taxes
