- The Narrator goes home to collect his dead friends body. He put him in a box and went to the train station.

- Hmmmm...
- At the station, someone confuses the box with his box of guns and takes the wrong box. The Narrator then brings what he thinks his friend, but were actually guns, onto the train.
- Someone then came into the train car with a box of limburger cheese, as the train car worker, Thompson work to patch up holes and light a fire in the furnace for warmth.
- Hmmm...hmm....hmm
- The smell of what they thought was the narrator's dead friend, but actually the limburger cheese began to overcome the two, so thompson went and broke a pain of glass for them to breathe through.
- The smell got worse, so the two decided to try and smoke cigars to try to make the smell better. That did not make the smell better, but instead made it worse.
- Then they decided to use some carbolic acid after a failed attempt to move the box. The acid made the smell worse.
