The massachusetts militia stored their weapons in Concord.
Hidden army supplies storehouse
Welcome to Concord!
British general Thomas Gage had orders to go get the weapons from the massachusetts militia. Gage and the British troops began making their way to a town called lexington.
Paul Revere and William Dols set out on horses to warn the troops that the British were leaving Boston.
The British are coming!
We just have to listen to that our captain says. Whatever happens do not fire at them first.
The colonists set for their homes until they heard the drum in the morning.
What are we going to do when they come for us.
When the British arrived in lexington there were minutemen waiting for them. Out of nowhere someone fired. Everyone began shooting at each other. Once everyone stopped shooting they saw that eight minutemen had died.
The American troops left Lexington to hide from the British. The British then followed them to Concord. There was then another short battle. The British lost and went back to Boston.
