- In the rising action Iqbal wanted to escape so he decided to cut the carpet. Iqbal cut the carpet and angered Hussain Khan. Iqbal was sent to the tomb because of his behavior.
- Exposition
- Hussain Khan is living in luxury while the kids are barely fed. This is an example of child labor. Child labor consists of torturing kids, barely feeding them, and forcing them to work.
- Falling action
- The climax is when Iqbal escapes and brings back Eshan Khan. Eshan Khan is the man who has been working to free child laborers. When Iqbal brings him to the factory he sets the other kids free.
- Resolution
- Fatima introduces everybody in the factory. We meet all the characters in the factory. We learned that the setting is the factory in Lahore, Pakistan. They introduce how they live in the factory and make carpets.
- The falling action is when Iqbal goes around and speaks to people. Iqbal was talking about how child labor is wrong. He is trying to convince people to act against it.
- Fatima revives a letter from Maria telling her that Iqbal died. Fatima was told that Iqbal was killed by the carpet mafia. The letter also said that he had done his speeches well.
