- Awiyao and Lumnay were married for a long time but Awiyao her husband has to marry another girl named Madulimay because Lumnay cannot bear a child.
- Lumnay walks away from the wedding feast and far from the village, then followsthe trail to which her and Awiyao’s field of beans lead.
- Suddenly she found courage. She would go to the dance. She would go to the chief of the village, to the elders, to tell them it was not right.

- As she reaches the clearing, she sees the spot from where she stood near the ceremony. She once again gets flashbackof her first encounter with her ex-husband, that from thereon was love at first sight.
