  • Two of the wealthiest families in Verona, the Montagues and Capulets hate each other over an ancient feud. This feud causes lots of violence in the streets of Verona. So when parts of both families meet in the streets, there's only way this will go.
  • When Mercutio and Tybalt see each other Mercutio begins to insult him leading an ensuing battle. Romeo tries to stop the battle but Tybalt uses this as an opportunity to strike down Mercutio. Feeling responsible, Romeo thinks his love for Juliet made him weak causing him to kill Tybalt to avenge Mercutio and quickly feeling the scene. In raged by so much violence and the death of his family member, the prince banishes Rome to Mantua never to come back.
  • Once they see the sites of their dead children the Capulets and Montagues decided to end this pointless feud. They promise to raise statues of pure gold in their name and that no name will be as popular then that of Juliet and her Romeo.
