  • Matilda Loisel was never content with her life, she suffered incessantly, feeling that a beautiful woman like her was meant to be living a life of luxury. It was as if through an error of destiny that she was born in a family of clerks, with no hopes of ever being known,she allowed herself to be married to a clerk.she was unhappy and only thought of all the things she didnt have. She despised the shabby walls and worn chairs of her home,the poverty of her apartment tormented her. 
  • UGH! I hate this ugly apartment,, someone like me deserves to live in an opulent mansion
  • I wish I could eat exquisite food served in shining silver instead of this simple pot pie 
  • Her husband, was an easygoing man, he worked as a clerk in the office of the board of education.He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life.

  • One day her huband returned home with exciting news ,he had brought with him a letter, the letter was an invitation to a magnificent ball. not every one was given such an invitation and they were hard to come by. the ball was going to be a fine one and many memebers of the official world will be present there. It was the sort of ball that Matilda Loisel had always dreamed of.
