Good Morning students. Today, we are going to explore "Globalization". Who is going to define "globalization"? Everybody has a different perspective, so don't hesitate to speak your mind.
Hmmm… I think I have heard of this word before…in the "Mann Ki Baat" addressed by our PM.

There will be groups of two, and the three groups will look at three aspects: local, national, and global.
Since the number of students is odd, I can present individually.

On the school bus…
Definitely! Since our topic is mainly around the local influences, we can use our personal experiences, such as our town and our neighborhood.
For our globalization project, I can present about the positive effects, and you can present about the negatives. Is this okay?
I like your idea.

At the lockers…
Hey! I was just thinking about our project… I have some ideas for the benefits of globalization nationally, like sharing common values within a country. Do you have any other ideas?
Great! I can also support our opinions using some statistics that I have collected.

At home…
Hmm… The global aspect of globalization must be very interesting. I just discussed this topic with my parents, and what they said are very true.
Foreign trade and investment can be an idea. It has a good and a bad side. I see more and more imports and exports products whenever I visit the supermarket. Ooooh! I think I have also seen the spread of western cultures because my foreign friend from India told me Indian people have similar dressing styles and eating habits with Americans. I guess that's what "Americanization" is all about.

Ooh! I was also thinking about the ideas. I have thought about the drawbacks of globalization, such as losing languages in one country.
After getting to know the topic for this unit, you guys will start to prepare for an upcoming project, which is to present the positives and negative of globalization based on research and you personal experiences.
Well, I suppose it might mean…(hmm) ... something about the globe.
