Rogers' view of personality was that people are essentially good unless impacted by something that inhibits their growth. His perspective also included genuineness, acceptance, and empathy. I am displaying these traits by helping a homeless person.
Costa & McCrae proposed the Big 5 Factors to tell the story of one's personality. These include openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. They would say I am more highly neurotic because I am anxious and often think about the negatives.
