This is Richard (Rick) John Beato. Born in 1962, Rick has lead a fascinating life. Besides being a musician, Rick has been a college professor at Ithaca College, a music store music teacher, a music producer and now is a Youtuber. All these career changes happened for many reasons: either a shift interests or simply wanting a change in lifestyle, or in the case of becoming a Youtuber, Rick wanted another source of income for his family and his intern's families when the rock music scene started fading.

Follow Your HeartFocus on the Journey
Rick has been passionate about music since he was a child, listening through albums like Van Halen One or Boston (self titled). His love for music has been the focal point for all his careers. Today, he shares his love for music with millions of people, pointing out what makes certain tracks and artists so incredible.
Rick's aspirations have changed just as much as his careers. Rick had long been interested in playing in a rock or jazz band when we was a teen, even being a member of the band Billionare, but he more drifted from career to career instead of working directly towards specific careers. Since he graduated college, Rick desired to help inspire and assist potential/professional musicians, whether he was giving lessons or mixing tracks.
Keep Learning
Rick Beato is constantly expanding his knowledge: he often interview different musicians, picking their thoughts on what went into each piece and how they go about creating. Some of the musicians he has interviewed are Phil X (Bon Jovi), Krist Novoselic (Nirvana), Sting and Tosin Abasi (Animals as Leaders).
Rick has made many connections with different artists over the years, but since he's been creating on YouTube, he's interned and collaborated with other Youtubers like Rhett Shull and Keith Williams (Five Watt World). All these guys teach and share their knowledge with their audiences.
