Hey dad. I have an LES assignment that is due Monday about reflection for the entire academic year and I don't know where to start,
Hello honey. Why do you look so worried?
Oh honey that's easy, come lets go and sit in the living room.
Oh! I learned academic writing, note taking and making, and summarizing skills which I previously lacked, but with the help of our lecturer, the tutors and the slides they gave us, I can now summarize very well.
What would you say you learnt in LES for the whole academic year? What stood out for you?
Oh, oh!, and writing essays. We had two essays this year which I really enjoyed writing, and we were also taught how to reference the Harvard style
Oh, dad, did you know that I can paraphrase too? We were also taught how to paraphrase texts.
Mmh, that's nice. What else?
The debate. It my first time doing it and I had so much fun. I learnt about how to make a claim when debating and that your claim must be supported with relevant and valid evidence
Sounds like you really liked the module, what you say you enjoyed the most?
Yeah. I wish I had prepared before attending the classes, maybe that would have helped me understand a lot of other things better.
I really liked how the lecturer encouraged group work when we were attending classes. She used to give us activities where we would work in groups. I am really going to miss the LES module. I had a great time.
Is there something you wish you would have done better or different?
Thank you dad.
There you go, you did great, I believe you are ready to write your reflection. You will do just fine.
