- The Spanish were spotted just off the English coast in Cornwall and the alarm was raised that the Spanish were coming!
- Battle Of Gravelines
- The Spanish fleet landed in Calais because of bad wind condition. Whilst on the other side, Sir Francis Drake came up with cunning plan.
- Sir Francis Drake set 5-8 old burning ships and sent them floating towards the Spanish Armada. The plan was a resounding success and this then made the Spanish break their cresent formation and flee (In fear of the English) further up the English channel.

- The next day, the armies met at "The Battle Of Gravelines" with the English now holding the advantage as they had broken the Spanish formation. the fast english warships were able to sink 5 Spanish ships using their long range culverins cannons.
