- Example: Recycling Done Right
- -Joe & Tammy are walking through the office with soda bottles. Tammy completely finishes hers and throws it into the recycling. Joe tries to throw his half-empty soda into the recycling but is stopped by Bob, who empties the soda and explains what would have happened if it ended up in the recycling.
- What can I do?
- -Joe & Tammy just finished up lunch. Her salad bowl is empty and clean, so she throws it into the recycling bin. Joe has left scraps and dressing all over the bowl, and tries to throw it in the recycling. He's stopped by Bob, who shows him how to put the scraps in the compost, clean the bowl and recycle.
- -Joe and Tammy are walking to the recycling bin with plastic, paper, food scraps and metal. They place everything in the correct bin. Bob gives them a high five.
- -Find out the guidelines of your recycling program and tell everyone about it -Remove food residue from recyclables, pour out liquids -Use only recyclable products. Even better, find reusable items!
