After his experience with the porcupine, Brian realized that hitting rocks with his hatchet created sparks. He worked and worked then he created a place to contain the flames. He pondered about why the fire was not working. He then remembered that you need oxygen to create a fire, so he softly blew on it; a while later he had a fire. He called it his bodyguard/ friend. He was sad since he had no one to share his accomplishment with.
CHAPTER10
Brian was so proud that he made a fire and he kept feeding it. He realized that he could make a signal fire. He heard a sound but thought nothing of it because he had his fire, so he slept. He saw tracks and two piles of sand in which he found 17 eggs. He recalled his uncle ate raw eggs so he decided it was edible. He ate 6, and kept the rest to eat another day which made him think of the rescue team. He told himself not to forget the rescue team so they won't forget him.
CHAPTER11
He moved the eggs he previously found then he cleaned his camp. He became sad thinking of never leaving. He looked at his reflection in the water and noticed different things had changed about him like the fact that he was skinnier. He looked closer and saw lots of sea creatures, he then began to think on how to catch them.
CHAPTER12
He kept sharpening his spear. He tried again to catch a fish but his timing was poor; he needed a bow and arrow. He ate some berries, but he became full quickly because his stomach had shrunk. Then he heard a sound. It was a plane! IT HAD COME TO SAVE HIM! He ran as fast as he could to light the signal fire and threw the stick on it, but the sound was fading.
CHAPTER 13
Brian eventually caught some fish but he was tired of eat them, so he was waiting for a bird. He almost found himself in between a mother bear and its cub, but after warning him she went on her way. After a few seconds he sensed something that's when a wolf suddenly appeared after a while three others came then they all left. He was really depressed, he wanted to end it all so he cut his hand and it bleed out, in the morning he told himself he wouldn't let something like that happen again.
CHAPTER14
