King Minos summoned an inventor named Daedalus and told him to bring his son, Icarus too. He wanted Daedalus to build him a great palace.
Climax
We are leaving Crete
King Minos wanted Daedalus to make a maze in the cell that no one could escape. When Daedalus finished the palace, he looked at with pride. When he found out what the maze in the cellar was for, he became frightened.
Falling Action
You can't catch me!
Daedalus wanted to leave Crete and forget about the maze and the Minotaur. When he went to ask for his money, King Minos did not let him leave because he was the only person that knew how to escape the maze.
Resolution
One year later Daedalus completed his greatest invention that will let him leave Crete forever. He made wings from feathers that he collected over the year and sewed it together with strands of wool from his blanket.
But how? It's impossible!
Daedalus used wax to stick the wings to Icarus and himself. He told Icarus to not fly too close to the sun, but he got attacked by seagulls, forcing him to go up.
Now remember, don't fly too high!
Icarus got too close to the sun, so his wax started to unstick. All that Daedalus could do was watch as Icarus plunged into the sea head first. All that was left of Icarus was a litter of feathers.
