How Abraham obeyed God's Will - Toribio

- Abraham and Sarah had a son named Isaac.
- One day, God tested Abraham. God told Abraham to take his son to a mountain in the land of moriah and offer him there as a sacrifice.
- In the old testament times, a sacrifice was usually an animal that was killed on an altar.
- But this time, God wanted Isaac to be sacrificed in the altar to test Abraham's obedience.
- In the next morning, abraham and isaac along with two of abraham's helper's got up early. Abraham split wood for the offering and then they began they journey up to the mountain
- On the third day of their journey, Abraham could already see the place where he supposed to sacrifice his son. He told the two helpers to stay behind so he and isaac could walk the rest the way together.
- When they arrived, Abraham placed isaac on top of the wood, just as abraham reached for the knife...
- He heard an angel call out "Abraham!" abraham immediately stopped, and then the angel said "do not hurt the boy now I know that you feared God"
