  • Nutrients are needed for growth, development, and maintainence in our body.
  • Sugar and processed foods can lead to inflammation throughout the body and brain, which can cause mood disorders, including anxiety and depression. This becomes a cycle. When we become stressed or depressed, we turn to junk food, which in turn leads to further depresison.

  • Getting good complex carbs from foods such as quinoa, beets, and sweet potatoes leads to increases energy levels and leaves us feeling well overall.
  • Healthy Diet = Healthy Gut
  • Too many unhealthy, processed carbs, such as white bread and pastries, cause blood sugars to rise and fall rapidly. This leads to low energy and irritability.
