Makerspaces can have different meanings to different people. My classmates were able to provide different resources for all to learn and help brainstorm different maker ideas.
My  favorite project  was creating a program allowing teens to learn and build their own PC computers. Computers are so important to students, both educationally and recreationally, so this program is a great way to teach a new skill and reach out to the teen community.
As my makerspace is geared towards teens and the opportunity to learn about/ build their own computers, this can open a new need for computer and tech materials as well. I also want to eventually have game nights with teens/preteens and some will be PC games so this will be a way to get those interested into the library doors. I learned that you need to focus on your target audience and design the makerspace for them. Be openminded.
After finishing the modules and reading my classmate's comments, I feel confident that I can design and facilitate a makerspace. Problem will be funding it in the future.
So as we finish this class, I will take with me the lessons on how to create and facilitate a productive, fun, and educational makerspace. Good luck to everyone and may all your makerspaces be awesome!
