Hey there, children. Today we are to tackle about earthquake hazards and how we can mitigate its impact unto ourselves.

But first, let's have some drill first. Let me guide you as we do this. This comes handy when an earthquake suddenly strikes our area, particularly here in our school.

What i want you to do when the ground starts to shake is to do the DUCK-COVER-HOLD. Go underneath your desk to take cover and just hold there until the shaking stops.

But, we should at least wait for a few minutes taking cover.

And those who are near or on the coastal areas, beware of potential tsunami. These are long wavelength oceanic waves generated by the sudden displacement of seawater by a shallow earthquake.
