This is an important Chapter to realize the ending of the story. The dog is a big significance to the story because Lennie wants to kill it. Chapter Six
This part is in the evening in the barn stables. This chapter is when Candy's dog gets shot. " I ought to if shot that dog myself, George. I shouldn't ought to of let no stranger shoot my dog."
This is in Sunday afternoon still at the barn. Lennie killed the puppy and now Curley's wife is also dead. " He's a nice fella," said Slim. "Guy don't need no sense to be a fella."
This is a significant scene because this is where George shoots Lennie in the back. George shot Lennie because the townspeople were gonna kill him anyway for killing Candy's dog. " Slim came directly to George and sat down beside him, sat very close to him. "Never you mind, said Slim. "A guy got to sometimes."
