- Good Morning Mam, today I am going to talk about SDG GOAL 13 : CLIMATE ACTION
- Good Morning Haya, Are you ready for your morning activity? Which SDG goal you are going to present today?
- The official statement for this goal is:Take urgent action to combatclimate changeand itsimpacts
- Climate change is real threat to our world. The effects are already visible , if we do not take action it will destroy our planet
- Because of this temperature level rises in the planet, ice are melting and water level also rises causes flood, strom, hurricane and drought.
- The main cause of the climate change is GLOBAL WARMING. And this is caused by the release of carbon di oxide gas in the air.
- So what should we do avoid climate change?
- SDG 13 has 5 target to be achieved by 2030. This can cover the issues causes by climate change.
- The first 3 targets are output targets: 1.Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related disasters; 2.integrate climate change measures into policies and planning;3.build knowledge and capacity to meet climate change.
- The remaining 2 targets are means of achieving targets: 4.To implement the UN Frame work Convention on Climate Change; and 5.To promote mechanisms to raise capacity for planning and management.
