- Muhammad started out as a normal person. One day he went to a cave to pray about Mecca because the he was worried about the country's future. While praying he saw the angel Gabriel. It gave him such a fright that he only told his wife. Later, he ended up telling the people of Mecca what he had seen and that the angel had told him to believe in one god, Allah.
- Fasting is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. The Five Pillars of Islam are rules that Muslims are required to follow. Fasting is only required for those who are able to do so and is only practiced during the month of Ramadan. If you are pregnant, elderly, or a young child you are not required to participate in this rule. You may eat while the sun is down but once the sun rises you are not able to eat.
