I choose this scene. This scene started when fern's mother was preparing breakfast, at the same time Fern saw her father leave with an ax. Fern asked her mother why her father left with the ax. Her mother said her father would kill one of the newborn pig becaouse it was small. Fern didn't accept that, and than she went to he father to prevent her father from killing the pig. Her father said that if the pig hadn't been killed, it would have caused trouble. But Fern didn't accept that, for her that was an injustice. Fern continued stubborn. Even her father can't do anything. her father told fern that he was taking the pig home. and at last it ow existed with Fern and Fern much in love with the pig.

- well, one pigs is arunt. It's very small amd weak. and it will never amount to anything. so your father has decided to do away with it
- out to the hoghouse,, some pigs were born last night
- Don't yell, Fern!Your father is right. The pig would probably die anyway.
- Do away with it? You mean kill it? just because it's smaller than the others
- please don't kill it!It's unfair.
- But. it's unfair. the pig couldn't help being born small, could it? if I had been very small at birth, would you have killed me?
- control my self? This is a matter of life and deadth, and you talk about controlling my self?
- Allright,. you go back to the house and I will bring the runt when I come. I'll let you to start it on a bottle, like a baby. Then you'll see what trouble a pig can be
