- 2)הֲל֧וֹא ט֦וֹב לָ֖נוּ שׁ֥וּב מִצְרָֽיְמָה: IT WOULD BE BETTER IF WE RETURNED TO EGYPT!!!!!

- Bnei Yisroel were crying and raising their voices. They said they would rather die in Egypt! They said that their wives and children will be taken captive! They also said that they want to go back to Egypt!

- I will strike them with a plague and destroy them!! And I will make you Moshe into a greater nation

- Bnei yisrael don't believe in me!!!! But I have done so much for them!!
- 3) וַיִּפֹּ֥ל מֹשֶׁ֛ה וְאַהֲרֹ֖ן עַל־פְּנֵיהֶ֑ם-Moshe and aharon fell on their faces in despare/hoplesness4)וִיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ בִּן־נ֗וּן וְכָלֵב֙ בֶּן־יְפֻנֶּ֔ה מִן־הַתָּרִ֖ים אֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ קָרְע֖וּ בִּגְדֵיהֶֽם׃-Kalev and Yehoshua ripped their clothes. Kalev and Yehoshua said that the land was really REALLY good! They saw the land themselves!! They also told Bnei yisroel to not be afraid because Hashem is with them! מְגִנָּם וְחָזְקָם, כְּשֵׁרִים שֶׁבָּהֶם מֵת5)וּ- All of the nation' s leaders died! Their protection has left them!

- But Hashem!!! All the other nations will think that you are not able to bring your nation to the land that you promised!!! They will say that you were only strong enough to fight the Egyptians!!
- 6)לִרְגּ֥וֹם אֹתָ֖ם בָּאֲבָנִ֑ים-Bnei Yisroel wanted to throw stones at Kalev, Yehoshua, Moshe, and Aharon!

- Please Hashem forgive the nation!! Your kindness is so great!!!

- וְעַד־אָ֙נָה֙ לֹא־יַאֲמִ֣ינוּ בִ֔י בְּכֹל֙ הָֽאֹת֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִׂ֖יתִי בְּקִרְבּֽוֹ7)׃ - Hashem is saying until when will bnei yisroel not believe him!!! For all that he has done for us!!!אַכֶּ֥נּוּ בַדֶּ֖בֶר וְאוֹרִשֶׁ֑נּוּ וְאֶֽעֱשֶׂה֙ אֹֽתְךָ֔ לְגוֹי־גָּד֥וֹל וְעָצ֖וּם מִמֶּֽנּוּ8)׃- He is going to destroy bnei yisroel!! And make a new nation from Moshe!

- 9.מִבִּלְתִּ֞י יְכֹ֣לֶת יְהֹוָ֗ה לְהָבִיא֙ אֶת־הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה אֶל־הָאָ֖רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֣ע לָהֶ֑ם- The other nations will say that Hashem is not able to bring his nation to the land that he prominsd them!10.(Rashi)- שֶׁכְּנֶגְדָּם יָכֹלְתָּ לְהִלָּחֵם אֲבָל כְּנֶגֶד יוֹשְׁבֵי הָאָרֶץ לֹא יָכֹלְתָּ לְהִלָּחֵם- They will think Hashem is able to fight against the nation (Egypt) but he is not able to fight against those that live in the land.
- סְלַֽח־נָ֗א לַעֲוֺ֛ן הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּ֖ה כְּגֹ֣דֶל חַסְדֶּ֑ך (11 - Moshe is begging for Hashem' s forgiveness! He also uses the Yud Gimmel Midot Harachamim- 13 descriptions of Hashem's kindness. He knew he needed to use these because Bnei Yisroel sinned so majorly.
