- A man by the name of Cicero played an important part in attempting to preserve the Roman republic, during the constant time of a power struggle. From an early age he showed great ambition, while he studied philosophy and rhetoric in Athens.
- I hereby declare Catiline guilty.
- Cicero began working to gain a place as Consul although before he gained his position he faced Catiline.
- The Catalonian conspiracy was Catiline's to try to take control of the Senate and persuade the First triumvirate to put him in a place of power. Cicero was able to uncover his plan by listening to rumors and exposing him to the public.

- Once Cicero told the public about Catiline, he was put on trial and then eventually executed by Cicero to protect him from going through with his plan.
