- My name is Yeh-shen. I was born and raised by my father and my 2 step mothers. My father and my one step mother both passed away. Now I live with my evil step mother and step sister.
- There's your food rat!
- I found a golden fish and I raised it. He is my only friend. My step mother barely feeds me but when she does I feed my fish. I don't want my step mother to find out because I know she might do something crazy, so I am keeping a secret from her. I know it's not the smartest idea but I have to keep it a secret.
- At Least i have someone that cares about me.
- One day when I was doing my usual chores around the house, my step mother found out my secret! She found my fish and killed it and made dinner with it! I was so sad. I lost my only friend that day. When I was going outside to find him before, i knew what happened, I saw this old man.He told me that my mother killed my fish, but he said that my fishes bones were magical.
- This is what she gets from hiding this from me. We will have you for dinner.
- Everybody in town was talking about the dance where you could meet the prince! I really wanted to go but my step mother wouldn't let me and I didn't have anything to wear. I remembered that my fish bones were magical. So I wished for a nice clothes to meet the prince. The spirit of the bones said not the lose the shoes because I will change back into my rags and the shoes are really important to him.

- Just don't lose the shoes. They are really important to me and will cause you some serious danger
- The fish bones gave me this beautiful green dress with golden shoes. When I went to the party, I saw my step mother and my step sister. I heard my step sister say that I looked familiar. And then I heard her say my name. Before anything else could have happened, I ran out of there. While I ran out of there, I lost one of my shoes! When I got back home. The fish wouldn't even talk to me. I got really sad because I just lost one of my best friends.

- My shoe that I lost got found and then got sold to the prince. A couple days later, we all heard that the prince was going to come all around town to find the girl who lost the shoe and to find his true love. He finally came to our house. My step sister got to try on the shoe, but it didn't fit her. He spotted me and asked me to try on the shoe. I graded the matching shoe and when I put it on I turned into my beautiful dress. A couple days later me and the prince soon got married!
