- Hey mom I am learning about transpiration at school and I got an assignment about it
- Okay, so what is the assignment?
- Yh I have a few examples like when a plant absorbs water in its roots.
- Well, I need to research transpiration. So far, I only have the meaning which is‘transpiration is the evaporation of water from plants occurring at the leaves while theirstomata are open for the passage of CO2 and O2 during photosynthesis.
- Okay so now you need to get examples
- I found a thing on google saying ‘When water is removed from the plant,it can more easily access the carbon dioxide needed for photosynthesis. Also, plantscan use transpiration as a method of cooling themselves.’
- I like that example but be different, give the teacher an example such assomething we do on a daily basis that we don't even know about.
- I know, I know and I'm getting there…so the importance, first things firstit allows plants to get minerals from the soil and it controls the temperature of the plantand for the factors of transpiration are temperature humidity, wind speed and lightintensity
- So what are the factors or the importance of transpiration? Where’s the rest?
