- The date is August 4th, 2026, and a house comes alive to play an alarm to wake up a family that isn't home. The house is completely empty.
- Climax
- The house begins to start it's daily tasks with cooking. The house cooks eight pieces of toast, eight eggs sunny side up, sixteen slices of bacon, two coffees, and two glasses of milk. It was a chef cooking for a family of four.
- Falling Action
- After the house completes it's tasks for the day, a gust of wind knocks over a nearby tree and the tree crashes into the kitchen window. The tree was a
- Resolution
- The house instantly catches fire. The house detects the fire and sends off an alarm. The lights were flashing, water was raining down from the ceiling in an attempt to put the fire out, but the fire continued to spread.
- The house continues to fall apart. The animals who were previously in the story begin to panic, The mood of this section of the story is very hectic, and full of panic. A voice begins to read poem after poem, and the wires and circuits of the house begin to wither and crack. The house is now completely filled with smoke.
- After all of the previous chaos, it is now completely silent. The house is completely burnt down and is nothing but rubble. A new day begins, and a voice emerges from the rubble, with a calm tone as if the previous events had not occurred. The voice says, "Today is August 5th, 2026, today is August 5th, 2026, today is...". The theme of this story is emptiness, as nobody was there to stop the fire.
