I'm from the future, time travel is pretty sick. Its brand new.
I'm John Locke, and you?
Perfect, glad the gps worked, what's your name?
Wow, very cool name!
Oh hey John, my name is LeBron James
Hahaha, funny, we are in England, our food is terrible.
Thanks. Time travel makes me starving, do you have any food for me?
Ok...I can answer some questions
Oh yeah your right, I forgot about that, anyways, I have some things to talk to you about John.
I know a spot...
Lets go somewhere comfy, this is a very important conversation.
Welcome to my bedroom LeBron!
Wow, lots of books, not surprising for a philosopher.Let's sit down, and I will start talking.
So John, in my time (2023) there is still a big amount of religious discrimination and restriction, how do you feel about this?
I am very familiar with this problem, as it is present during the time we are in now. I believe it is truly unacceptable.
I am in full support of people's natural rights, these rights are life, liberty, and property. I even wrote that in my piece called Thoughts Concerning Education.
Yeah I agree, I had a feeling we shared the same thoughts.
In this case, religious freedom falls under the category of liberty, and I strongly believe people should have the right to practice any religion they want, and should not be punished for it in any way.
Absolutely, even though there have been improvements over time and religious freedom is more common as a whole, many communities and even entire countries still do not support it.
I've done a good amount of things, all of my work focuses on the fact that humanity is good, and must be protected, and that natural rights are key.
To be more specific, I helped draft a constitution that guaranteed freedom of religion for all slaves, mostly in the Americas. Which I'm guessing is where your from because of your accent.
What is something you've done to enforce religious tolerance?
In my eyes, that is unacceptable and people should revolt against the government and fight for their freedom.
A good example for me to use is that on a larger scale, all the way in the future in my time, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iran, and most places in the Middle East and South Asia are very strict. These places do not allow their citizens to practice any religion, and there are big consequences.
Of course, everyone is important, and if we work together the right way, the world will be peaceful and just. The human mind is very complicated and can do so much good.
Exactly, thank you for all of this information John, I appreciate your wisdom and kindness.
Safe time traveling! Nice meeting you LeBron James.
Well spoken, now I gotta travel back home, see you later!
Nice meeting you too!
See you later England!
