- After the boston massacre, the colonists began listening in on conversations.
- They figured out that a man called General Gage was going to send out troops to raid the Militia, a group of colonists that didn't want to be ruled by England.

- Many of the colonists were not happy about this. They decided to come up with a plan to warn the Militia.

- The colonists sent a man named Paul Revere to warn the Militia.

- He rushed to the city of boston and warned them that they were going to be attacked.
- The soldiers waited a long time for the british army to come. After a while, many went home. Only about seventy were left when they heard the british army coming

- The Colonists marched out to meet the British. There were thousands of British soldiers and only about seventy Colonists. The Colonists lost badly.
- This is the event that started the American Revolution. It is also known as "The shot Heard 'Round The World."
