- I'm going to be staying with your family, and you must provide me food and supplies.
- Benjamin Franklin proposes a single government to rule all of the colonies. Many Americans feared giving up the power of their colony.
- Stamp Act 1765
- King George III passes a law stopping the colonists from moving West of the Allegheny Mountains. However, nobody listened to this law and they still kept going.
- Boston Massacre 1770
- British soldiers went into colonists houses and the colonists had to give them food and supplies. This caused them to not have enough food for their own family.
- Boston Tea Part 1773
- Great Britian made a rule that everyone had to put a stamp on every piece of paper that they sent, and they had to pay for the stamp. This made everyone mad, and it caused people to stop sending as many letters,newspapers were getting stopped, and they burned papers.
- People decided to start throwing snowballs, clubs, and more at the British soldiers. Suddenly , they were all fighting and shooting. Someone yelled " Fire!" and the soldiers started shooting, but it was the captain who told them to shoot.
- At nighttime people started to throw their tea into the ocean so they wouldn't get in trouble by the British soldiers. If goods were found they would get a harsh punishment.
