- Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.
- Let us confess our sins and be forgiven, Master.
- The one who is coming after me is more powerful than I. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
- Why do you come to me? I am the one who needs to be baptized by you.
- Is that Jesus?
- For the present, let it be thus. It is proper for us to do this to fulfill all that righteousness demands.
- This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
