- Germany surrendered. They decided to surrender because they had remorse, as they did in WW1. Their chief, (Chief Jodi) decided to sign the papers of surrender, He did this because the soviet union and its allies.
- Let me tell you....
- Why did the USA bomb Hiroshima?
- They became friends, though they still didn't like each other that much. But, in order to win the war, they needed each other. USA, and the Soviet union created an alliance in 1945. After the war, they parted ways.
- Why was Nagasaki bombed too?!
- What was the Manhattan project? The Manhattan project was a code name. The "Manhattan project" meant "effort to develop a functional atomic weapon". The main purpose of the Manhattan project was to use an atomic bomb.
- Hey Hennery! I heard Japan surrendered.
- Wow Kristy! That's great! But why?
- Why did the USA bomb Hiroshima? The USA ended up bombing Hiroshima because they didn't want to invade Japan. Instead, they wanted to use a new weapon, that would end up with less causality's. US bombed Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945.
- The US also bombed Nagasaki because they thought that he would be better than invading. Nagasaki had more population than some of the other cities in Japan, so that's why they chose that city. They bombed Nagasaki on August 9th, 1945.
- Japan finally decided to surrender on September 2nd, 1945. Japan surrendered because the Soviet Union entered the war. Compared to the Soviet Union, Japan had no chance to defeat them. Their weapons were too powerful and advanced for Japan; they accepted defeat.
