- In hopes of earning money, a rich man either rents or buys a boat and gives the people goods to trade and sell for good earnings.

- The first step of the trading begins. In Africa, the men give the goods that were supplied by the rich man to the tribe in exchange for slaves.
- The ship returns

- The slaves are living in a packed area below deck, and there is no ventilation. This is giving them breathing problems.
- After reaching New Orleans, the people with the slaves exchange them for money. These people are then forced to work at farms. They then prepare to return to Britain with their earnings.

- They return the earnings after returning. The man is overjoyed with how much he earned. The story ends
